The 1Ds III recognizes a lens by the model (a lens + extender is counted as a separate lens). It is 1.4x larger than the 2.5" LCD displays on some of Canon's latest digital SLRs (and MUCH larger than the 2" 1Ds II LCD). They are solid and feel great in my hand.
